Windmill at Buxton around 1900

An old postmill at Buxton, near Cape Hatteras, apparently had been abandoned when this photograph was taken by H. H. Brimley about the turn of the century. The mill was listed in the 1869 North Carolina Business Directory and may have been owned by B. C. Jennett. The mill was destroyed by a storm in 1904.
